Mat Desforges

Mat Desforges, Business Strategy lead at Guernsey Electricity, holds multiple roles across various entities. He is leading the business strategy for Guernsey Electricity during a crucial phase of the energy transition, and serves as a director at Un1ty, a strategic consultancy focusing on sustainability.  

Mat aids different entities through his consultancy, including the States of Guernsey, in areas such as international trade agreements, data protection, and renewable energy. He is also a board member of Guernsey Mind. 

In his previous positions, Mat worked for the government as a financial services and energy advisor, and a registrar. He has experience in regulation and the private sector, where he served as a finance director for a law firm and a commercial director. Mat is a chartered accountant and holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.
