Katy Melhuish

Katy is a Senior Account Manager at Black Vanilla, a PR and communications agency specialising in reputation management, media relations, and brand awareness. She has six years of experience in B2B and B2C communications, working in financial services, healthcare, travel, and retail. Her expertise spans multi-market PR campaigns, media relations, and strategic content development. Before joining Black Vanilla, she worked with leading London agencies, building strong national media contacts.

Katy is a public relations and advertising graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she was a student-athlete. She began her career in consumer PR at Specsavers before moving to London to broaden her industry experience. In addition to her role as a committee member of the IoD Next Gen Forum, she is also an active member of PRCA and CIPR, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and industry engagement.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys travelling, experimenting with new recipes, and watching Arsenal.
