Last week, Ella Roussel and Sophia Matthews, both participants in the IoD Leadership Shadowing programme, took part in a live interview on BBC Radio Guernsey. They discussed their experiences on the scheme, their expectations for the upcoming Leaders of Tomorrow events, and their future plans.
The students then joined a group of their peers to attend the Guernsey IoD Convention as ‘Leaders of Tomorrow', as well as an exclusive lunch with Tristan Claridge, Director of the Institute for Social Capital, who spoke at the evening event.
Ella Roussel from the Sixth Form Centre, said, 'I gained a really great understanding of how I can utilise my own social capital, how it can help me in the future, and a really great insight into how social capital shapes the world around us.'
The Leaders of Tomorrow scheme, which is sponsored by the Ana Leaf Foundation, aims to develop young business talent on the island, and to introduce Guernsey's Leaders of Tomorrow to thought leaders and influential career role models from the Bailiwick and beyond. Leaders of Tomorrow is part of the IoD’s Future Leaders programme, alongside Leadership Shadowing and the Future Leaders Summit.
