The IoD Guernsey Branch’s Next Gen Forum is delighted to announce the appointment of Liz Mills, Tonicha Ward, Max Hamon, Shannon Lancaster and James Lucas to its Next Gen Committee. The Committee is responsible for the running and development of the forum, established in 2022, and is dedicated to supporting and developing professionals in managerial roles and above who are either preparing to step into director-level positions within the next two to five years, or are new directors.

Liz Chalmers, Senior Placement & Relationship Executive at Polygon Insurance Brokers
Liz brings nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry, managing diverse corporate and high-net-worth client portfolios. Since returning to Guernsey in 2023, she has established herself as a key advisor at Polygon and founded the Seriously Good Brunch Club, a networking initiative for women. Her expertise in relationship-building and leadership development will enhance the committee's dynamic.
Tonicha Ward, Marketing Manager at Guernsey Finance
Tonicha leads the marketing team at Guernsey Finance, where she drives the organisation’s global digital marketing strategy. With over six years of experience, Tonicha has successfully led multi-channel campaigns, earning her Chartered Marketer status and numerous advanced qualifications in digital marketing, AI marketing, and leadership. Her passion for supporting charities and small businesses through marketing expertise makes her a valuable addition to the committee.
Max Hamon, Head of Strategic Technology and Innovation at HFL
Max’s extensive experience in finance and technology, spanning over a decade, includes strategic roles at KPMG, Skipton International, and Butterfield Bank. Currently, at HFL, Max leverages data and technology to drive innovation in fund administration and fiduciary services. His passion for integrating future-proof solutions and his strategic insights will bring a fresh perspective to the committee.
Shannon Lancaster, Fund Analyst and Strategy Lead at Ravenscroft
Shannon is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. At Ravenscroft, she is responsible for managing and selecting investments for the firm’s multi-manager fund range and oversees the Ravenscroft Global Solutions Fund, a highly thematic equity fund of funds. Shannon’s focus on ESG principles and sustainability aligns well with the committee’s goals of fostering innovation and strategic thinking.
James Lucas, Senior Financial Reporting Manager at Aztec Financial Services
James brings over a decade of experience in finance, specialising in private equity administration and accounting. He is a passionate mental health advocate and a director of Creative Learning in Prison LBG, a Queen’s Award-winning charity providing education to prisoners to support community reintegration. James’ commitment to professional and personal development will enrich the committee's work.
