Fireside Chat
Jay Goss, Aston CM
After graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Economics and History, Jay served as an officer with the Royal Marines for over five years. He served two active tours of duty in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland before finishing his career in the military as a Captain.
Jay then turned his focus to the financial services industry, where he helped found a Swiss wealth management firm with a focus on wealth generation in emerging markets. This allowed him to implement the skills he gained in the military into commercial reality and help create one of the best known brands for succinct financial planning. His immersion in this corporate development required him to live and work in West Africa for extended periods, giving him a unique insight into the financial operations of some of the most vibrant economies in the world.
This naturally evolved into a deep understanding of currency markets and trends, allowing the establishment of Aston Currency as a natural progression. Becoming a founding partner and Chief Commercial Officer of Aston Currency Management, Jay oversaw the rapid expansion of the banking capabilities and market penetration.
Away from work, Jay is a focused ultra-distance athlete, being one of the first to complete the London to Paris Arch to Arc race along with racing in the Amazon, Sahara and Arctic.
